MACHINIST

Must be able to read blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements

 

Must be able to set up and operate conventional, special-purpose, manual machining equipment to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts

 

Must have a strong work ethic and be able to work without direct supervision for extended periods of time

 

Reports to Machining/Production Manager and Shop Manager

 

The ideal candidate will have three or more years of machining, welding, cutting, boring and other machine experience as well as customer relations experience

 

 PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Read, interpret, create blueprints, schematics, and document information as well as read standard gages and measuring devices

 

Safely operate manual mills, lathes, grinders and other machining equipment to manufacture parts and new prototypes for customers

 

Accurately measure and check final manufactured component to assure customer specification are met and document these findings

 

Maintain work area cleanliness

 

Comply with all company and government regulations and specifications regarding safety and environmental issues

 

Other duties as assigned by Machining/Production Manager and Shop Manager

SPRAY TECHNICIAN

Must have outstanding mechanical aptitude and be able to function in a dynamic environment and have good communication skills

 

Must have a strong work ethic and be able to work without direct supervision for extended periods

 

Working knowledge of welding technologies and thermal spray processes and applications is required and an Associate’s degree in welding-related discipline would be helpful

 

Reports to Spray Shop Manager

 

The ideal candidate will have three or more years of thermal spray processing, welding/spraying process control, and customer relations

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct all aspects of thermal spraying projects, including work planning, product preparation, blasting, masking, and thermal spray coating

Assist in maintaining quality control objectives and coordinate production procedures to maximize product reliability and minimize costs

 

Identify cost improvement opportunities for welding/spraying projects and applications

 

Maintain all processing equipment in maximum efficiency condition

 

Maintain work area cleanliness

 

Comply with all company and government regulations and specifications regarding safety and environmental issues

 

Other duties / responsibilities determined by the Spray Shop Manager and/or Shop Manager
